Fri Forjindam is Chief Development Officer for Mycotoo, Inc., a global leader in themed entertainment, live events and immersive brand experiences. Voted “Top Media” company by Inc. 500, Mycotoo operates in North America and Europe, with successful projects worldwide including studio theme parks (Motiongate and Bollywood Parks) and award-winning brand experiences(SXSWestworld Experience and Game of Thrones). Mycotoo specializes in entertainment strategy, master planning, design, development and production. In her role, Forjindam focuses on driving business development, branding and communications across Mycotoo’s growing global network.

Over the course of her career, Forjindam has earned a formidable reputation as a trailblazing themed entertainment executive, named “Top 50 Influencer” in Theme Parks by Blooloop Magazine, and a featured consultant on national networks including KTLA, FOX, Huffington Post and Essence. As a Cameroonian-born, New Orleans-schooled, MFA graduate of Columbia University in NYC, Fri has worked in film, theatre, publishing, live events and experience design. With experience both in front of and behind the camera, she brings her rich background in content development and experiential marketing to facilitate development strategies for regional, national and international tourism.  She served as a Creative Director for Bollywood Parks in Dubai; Creative Director for an upcoming snow theme park, family entertainment center and Nighttime Spectacular for a luxury Retail Developer in Qatar; Project Manager and Show Writer on the 2011 Grammy’s After Party; Producer for Los Angeles Downtown Latin Museum Gala Opening; & Project manager for T-Mobile HTC’s corporate tours.  While working as Editorial Director for Wedding Nouveau (a premier online/print, multi-cultural lifestyle publication). Notable collaborations include: Thor Equities, Nickelodeon, Meraas, United Developers and Morehead Planetarium & Science Center, Urban Commons & Minted.com.

Fri’s philanthropic commitments allow her to mentor and help empower a new generation of artists and designers. Fri sits on the advisory board for Harriet B’s Daughters, a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to mentoring the next generation of themed entertainment leadership and to expanding representation, inclusion, and diversity within guest experiences and creative works. Additionally, Fri currently is a board member and event chair for the Ryman Arts Foundation, one of the nation’s top youth art programs, offering professional studio art instruction along with college and career guidance to artistic high school youth.

Having moderated influential industry panels worldwide and served as keynote speaker (SXSW, MAPIC, Entertainment Experience Evolution, ACE, SATE, Immersive Design Summit etc.), Fri brings a unique perspective to the strategic discussions about industry trends, challenges and the future of themed entertainment and experience design.

Forjindam received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology (University of Virginia) and Master’s degree in Theatre from Columbia University, NYC.
